What is a bodega?

The term ‘bodega’ has different meanings in different places. It generally refers to a cellar or shop selling wine and food in Spanish-speaking countries. Within hispanic communities in the US - especially in New York - it has come to mean a corner convenience store.

bəˈdeɪɡə/ Noun

Paladar’s bodega is a coffee and wine shop by day, selling Latin American wines and spirits with El Cafecito’s, coffee shop running from 7.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Come and enjoy a great range of excellent freshly ground Latin American coffees and delicious cakes to take away or enjoy them inside or in the garden.

In the evening, you can dine in the bodega at our VIP Chef’s table. This is ideal for small parties of between eight and ten guests to enjoy dinner right in front of the kitchen pass counter. Please call or email us to book this table.

We also offer our wine and food pairing dinners, and occasional wine and spirit masterclasses in the Bodega. The next wine dinner will be on Thursday 28th June 2018 featuring the wines of Vina Cobos.
